Mwah!

Hello everyone!

My cold has FINALLY gone, i think it was the longest ever! My wisdom tooth has stopped hurting but now i have other toothy problems but i wont go down that route as it scares me even to think about dentists!

My daughter and i had a lovely weekend away seeing my parents in Reading last weekend. Caught up with my best friends back at home which was fab as always! Didnt get my wagamamas though!
My OH had a few days off at the beginning of the week and we have just generally been pottering around.

Will be right back on SW next week and i am looking forward to it, I need to find a way to do it cheaper otherwise im gonna have no money at the end of it! Unless i just live on pasta and fruit!

I will also be doing a few more tutorials for you all, a sexy valentines day one and a natural every day make up!

OUCH!

Oh ladies and gent (are there any gents out there? let me know!) my wisdom tooth has finally decided to erupt the last part and my god, my gum is sore :( Why do things always happen in one go? First i get ill and now i have gum ache! Sods law it is i tell ya! So ive eaten a honey sarnie this morning to make me feel better and have had a nice cup of tea and some codeine coz i am a pain wimp!!!!!!!!
We have swimming today, im so looking forward to my chicken tikka baguette, i will force it down, i dont care if i cant eat properly!! Maybe soup would be a better option today, argh! I cant wait to get back into the slimming world life, i miss it, i miss the planning and feeling proud of myself for actually doing something. This year started so well and at the moment it is rubbish.

Hoping to go down to my mum and dads this weekend with the little one. I need looking after :(!!!!!!

Blue porridge

hello everyone!

Im finally feeling a little better! This cold has been really very nasty..its finally moving its way out of my body but is currently attacking my chest, and as an asthmatic, that is not fun at all!

I weighed myself this morning (it is weigh in day after all) and was pleasantly suprised that ive only put on half a lb, i have not been following SW at all the past week! Will get back into the swing of healthy eating as soon as i am better, i just cannot eat healthily when feeling like rubbish!

We had blue porridge for breakfast this morning, my little one LOVES it. All you have to do is wack a couple of handfuls of blueberries in with your porridge before cooking, and when you've taken your porridge out of the microwave give it a good stir and the stiring should pop some of the blueberries which makes the porridge...well....BLUE!! so simple yet amuses DD endlessly lol.

I've got to walk the long walk down to preschool today *sigh* i am debating getting the bus back as it stops at the end of my road, is that lazy? I really dont think my chest will hold up but i will wrap up warm and give it a go. I havent been out for 5 days lol.

I swear i havent been this ill in a long time. I cant swallow, my ears are going crazy, my nose is crusted over..GROSS...i just want to eat chocolate and biscuits and drink tea....this cold came at the wrong time!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday!

Ive just woken up from a long nap with the small person. Ive been feeling a bit like ive been coming down with a cold for the past week and now i think it has finally hit.

So today i fancied a change and im going for a red day! i had toast (heb) scrambled egg and bacon for breakfast. Melon and a banana for lunch and for dinner i will be making gammon steaks with veg and baked beans (heb)

I really dont feel right today :( but OH has just got in and moaned about the mess so i guess thats what i'll be doing this afternoon!!

back on track!

YAY!!

Today i had - Porridge oats (traditional chunky ones, omg they are bloody lush!) with 1/2 a tsp of sweetener, some mixed spice and some blueberries...yum!!!!!! a packet of crisps and a sarnie for lunch, and then the most amazing stir fry for dinner! Turkey strips with a pak choi, mange tout, tender stem broccoli and then the usual stir fry mix of beansprouts etc! a generous helping of dried egg noodles and some soy sauce..YUMMERS!!

I've had a lovely day today, my besties and babies came over for a chat and a play, and i got newborn baby cuddles!!!!!!! Baby Alfie, soooo lush and squidey, i wanted to keep him!

Gonna be a slow weekend, OH is on mornings both days and potty training is going rubbish. I think it will really test my patience and diet lol.

Im going to make a "smokey eye tutorial" tonight with me new elf goodies which arrived today! yayay!!! x

i was naughty

Today :(!! Ive been naughty. The shopping isnt here till 4 and i caved in and had a chicken tikka baguette for lunch after swimming and were going to have pizza for tea.. SLAP WRIST. Probs put that 2lbs back on lol. Never mind, we'll call it a momentary blip! Back on it hard tomoro. Gonna re-write my food plan and try and save as much food as possible. Bulk make some dishes so were not always eating something new and using up what ive got in the freezer and do my shopping ON TIME!!! so i dont have days like these. Dont judge me lol! I need it, its nearly that time of the month and i feel like CRAP! :(

Today i have started to potty train DD. nightmare, shes weeing places on purpose because she doesnt like not having a nappy on. Were going cold turkey in the day time so she has no choice. I feel mean but she is totally ready!!

Week 1 weigh in

and i've lost 2lbs! Yay!

I had a feeling it wouldn't be a huge loss and i am a tiny bit disappointed, BUT, 2lb is a good loss! a steady loss as a friend said to me this morning and i agree! If i lost 2lb a week for the next 45 weeks i will be at my goal in no time lol!!

Next week i am going to:


*Up exercise! - try and go for a walk and have a go on the wii everyday.
*Cut down on biscuits! - I have to say i have been synning biscuits all week, was a naughty idea of mine and it obvs effected my weight loss this week. Will just stick to a allocated "treat day" a week (like sweetie day when you were a kid!)
* Keep blogging - it has REALLY helped me keep focus this week. I've really enjoyed writing about everything here

I just wanna say thank you to those of you who have helped me in the last week, Since starting last weds my blog has received over 1200 views, amazing! I hope you are all enjoying it as much as i am.

I'm about to go and have some banana and scan bran for breakfast this morning. If i have 2 now, i can have 3 with lunch and thats only 1heb so will have 1 left for dinner tonight, spag bol! my fave.

I was supposed to have "cheats pizza" for lunch today but i think i will have that another day this week as i forgot to do my shopping on monday night! So will do that now for it to be delivered tomoro.

DD has preschool today so ive got a nice 4 mile walk ahead of me, i really want an mp3 player but dont have alot of money to spare! Does anyone know where i can pick up a bargain?

Day 7!

Wow, day 7, that amazing! I'm so proud of myself for getting here! The 1st week is the hardest!

We have spent today with a friends and it has been lovely. We went to soft play and had a fab time climbing and running! Was pretty knackering though, why don't toddlers ever stop for a 5 min break!?
All bran and a banana for breakfast today, again! Im so bored of it now. Going to do a food shop tonight and will deffo be getting some porridge!
Jacket spud with cheese and beans for lunch - one of my faves! I will never get bored of this lunch. I love the way the cheese and the beans all melts together...mmmm!!!
Went for a little walk after we left soft play which was nice, good to get some air. I really need to start going for a daily walk instead of sitting on my bum bum! or even a little run around the park with the small person, every little helps as they say! I still haven't found the bits for the wii which i should have! One of my many tasks for next week haha!

Not sure what to do for dinner today. OH got some chicken out of the freezer and i suggested a roast dinner but im not sure i want that..fancy something spicy!! Might make the chicken and veg curry again as that was lush!! Decisions decisions.

Im really looking forward to weigh in tomoro morning. I hope ive lost something! Even if its only a couple of lbs! Its still a loss. I've only used 5 syns today (3 biscuits, whoops!) and was going to save 5 syns for a packet of iced gems for tonight!!




Oh well..Wednesday tomoro, middle of the week already. Where do the days go?! Little one has preschool in the afternoon, im going to try and track my walking down and back to see how fast/slow im going and each week i will try and beat the previous. I WILL BE A SIZE SMALLER FOR SUMMER!!!! maybe even 2, but im not gonna push myself!! I was thinking of buying something nice in a size 16 so i have something to look at and try to get into. Has anyone ever done this before? Does it work or is it a bit intimidating?

I'm going to go now and read some old slimming world mags a friend (who is a sw consultant, how handy!) dropped round for me today. Such a lovely thing to do, and she gave me some scan bran and hifi bars to! What a star, thank you Jenny! x

I feel like poo!

Nice name for a title eh? But i do! I have had a headache all morning and i think i have a sty brewing on my eye, it hurts :-( I feel sad today to as i had 2 hobnobs last night and today, and even though im within my syns i cant help thinking i SHOULD have had a yogurt or something instead.

So for next weeks shopping I'll be getting MORE fruit as i ran out really fast, and will chop up vegetables as snacks (carrot etc) I will also be getting some mini packs of iced gems as theyre only 5 syns a pack :)

So anyway, today for breakfast i had all bran and milk, again, getting a little fed up with it now, i need new breakfast ideas. For lunch i had a pasta mugshot and a slice of bread and butter for 4 syns.
Dinner tonight is tuna pasta bake. Tuna is my last HEB and im using my 28g Cheese HEA. I cant wait, its one of my fave dinners...gonna serve it with salad and some mayo (2syns)

Tomorrow my darling daughter and i are off to soft play with our friends for the day. I am actually really looking forward to running all over the place with DD burn lots of calories and i get to act like a big kid and go down the big slide (i hate slides but this one is actually fun lol!) Will probs have a jacket potato with cheese and beans for lunch, yum yum. Supposed to be having sausage and bean caserole for dinner tomorrow but the sausages i bought are just regular ones and noticed theyre 8.5 syns lol...aaaaaargh, so im gonna have to think of something else to have. Might do a tomato, onion, basil and cheese stuffed chicken with SW chips and veg..maybe..depends how adventurous im feeling!

OH is off today and has just got back from a bike ride, so were gonna chill out now with the little one and watch "Holes" :)

Its sunday!

The day of rest!

I had a terrible night last night. I tried to go to bed earlyish but just could not sleep, so i got up and started watching a film with the hubby to be, i went back to bed after it had finished but just laid there, eyes open..i just couldnt drop off. So in a huff i got up again (this was at 12:15!) and sat and watched dodgeball on the telly and browsed the internet. After an argument with hubs i was feeling very crappy and couldnt stop thinking about the white bread in the cupboard and the jam in the fridge...i resisted though and so thankful i did. Eventually i was feeling sleepy at 1:30 so decided to try and go back to bed. I woke up at 6:30 when hubs was leaving for work and drifted back off again shortly after. Was woken up at 9:40 by my daughter singing, it was beautiful and i felt much better after having some sleep.

So for breakfast today i had a bowl of all bran and some banana, yum, i do really like all bran but it makes my belly go crazy noisy! I then decided that i would make a tutorial (see previous blog entry!) which has gone down well on my facebook! So glad.

For lunch i made a vegetable soup from swede, potato, carrot and leeks. I added some cannellini beans and 1/4 of a tin of chopped tomatos. seasoned well and added a tiny bit of chilli powder for a bit of a kick. It was lush! I had a slice of nimble bread (3syns) and a tiny bit of butter (1 syn) I topped the soup with my cheese allowance (28g HEA) yum yum yum. Ive just sat down now with a cup of tea and a curly wurly (6 syns) and enjoy some time with my gorgeous girl before hubs gets home later.

I have been super organised and have done my week 2 food plan already!

Wednesday

Breakfast - Fruit and a muller light yogurt
Lunch - cheats pizza: 2 x nimble bread toasted (HeB1), sliced tomatoes, mozarella(HeA1)
Dinner -  Chicken (heb2) Stirfry + noodles

Thursday

Breakfast - 42g All bran topped (heb1) with fruit + milk (hea1)
Lunch - Jacket potato with beans and cheese (Hea2)
Dinner - Pork chops (heb2) Veg and Mash (2syns) + Gravy (2syns)

Were on day 4!

and im noticing a difference already! Its great, i feel better in myself already. Just gotta keep going.

My father-in-law came over today for a lunch time roast. I made pork chops, veg, apple sauce and gravy. All together around 6 syns (apple sauce + gravy + Butter in mash) so not bad! I had some scrambled egg, bacon, beans and 1 slice of nimble toast for breakfast. Had to syn the bread as i forgot about my HEB's for the day, whoops! But no biggy, at only 3syns i dont really mind.

I'm soooooo full today, i didn't even finish my dinner which is a 1st haha!

My other half has found a new app for his phone to track what exercise he does. He cycles to work every day but the app has made him think about exercise in a different way, so this afternoon he has gone on a little bike ride! I actually really wanted to go with him today but i am so nervous about cycling, i'm not very good at it at all, probs havent been on a bike for about 10 years!!! plus i dont think people would want my big bottom wiggling around in front of them!! But he has lost a lot of weight from cycling to work and i so would like to join him. I might get my bike from my mum and dads and join him, get a little seat on the back of OH's bike for our little girl. If i start now i will be fitter in time for summer when we can take a picnic with us and cycle somewhere nice!

I need to start doing some exercise, i can't find the bits for the wii fit anywhere and i really want to go on just dance! Might see if OH can dive into the kitchen cupboard to see if its the stuff is in there.

Anyway, "Take me out" is back tonight, CANT WAIT!!!!! I'm going to find some cool make up pics to try and take some inspiration from to make my own tutorials. Exciting! After my vlog yesterday 5 people went to E.L.F's website to buy the clutch for £7.50! Amazing! Really made me feel like i was helping people discover new things :)

End of day 3!

Wow, where are these days going?

I'm really enjoying blogging, i like keeping myself up to date with what i've been eating in the day, it will be good to look back on and get ideas for future food plans.

The tomato and pepper soup was delish, i had a slice of nimble bread with it and synned it as i just couldnt have soup without dipping some bread in it!! I also grated my 28g cheese and sprinkled it on top so it all melted, mmm lush.

This afternoon i was feeling really munchy, all i could think about was chocolate and i even debated going to the shop to get some, but i didnt! i had a carrot instead, now THAT ladies and gents is self control. Those of you who know me well know I LOVEE CHOCOLATE!!
I'm going to try and keep this week as good as possible and then try and introduce treats, once i get a bit of chocolate on my tongue i fear it may be the end for me! So i will put it off for as long as possible.

I also think i need to find something nice to drink in the evenings, tonight i want wine. That isnt going to happen though as a) i dont have any! and b) i really dont want to lose focus.

For dinner i made a chicken, potato and spinach curry with brown rice. Heres what went in it:
Chicken breasts
Chopped tomatos
Spinach
Boiled potatos
Tikka curry powder.
Brown rice

I put the rice on first so it would all be ready at the same time, i chopped a potato and put it onto boil until soft. I then chopped up 2 chicken breasts and browned it off. Then made a tikka paste using the powder and some boiling water and added that to the chicken, added the chopped tomatos and left it till the potatos were done. Once they were ready i added them to the chicken and tomatos, then 10 mins towards the end i put the spinach in with the rest of the curry and steamed it until it melted in with the tomato. Simples! and it tasted SO good, i was really worried i wasnt gonna like it as i usually prefer a more creamy curry but no! it was lush! will deffo be making it again!

I'm off to take the crimbo tree down now, sad times :(!! xx

a spoonful of...

JAM makes everything better.

I had the biggest headache last night, so decided to flick through the syns part of my SW book to see what low syn sweet things i could have. I found out that a teaspoon of jam is 0.5syns! brilliant, i had a spoonful of apricot jam and instantly felt better. I should remember not t o cut out sugar completely otherwise i start having funny turns!

We had lunch out after swimming yesterday, i had a jacket potato with beans and cheese (asked for the cheese on the side so i could have my allowed amount!) with some coleslaw which i synned as 7syns and some salad. I had a diet coke with it to.
For dinner i had a hot tikka chicken and cous cous salad (5 syns for mugshots couscous and a dollop of mayo) it was bloody lush!

I also had a couple of iced gems (which i also worked out to be 5syns a pack!! NICE!!)

All in all it was a good day, minus the headache. I didnt sleep very well last night so feel like bums again today. Little one didnt go to sleep until 11:45!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after having a late nap after swimming, never a good idea and shan't be letting her do it again!! We woke at 9:00 this morning when i suddenly realised the bins weren't out and our big bin was overflowing, yay...trips to the massive communal bin at the end of the road all of next week it is then!

Oh well, my lovely new E.L.F make up arrived this morning, i will be making a video/tutorial/swatches of the bits i got later when im feeling more awake and have had a shower!!!!!!! Exciteeeeeed!

I had my 42g All bran for breakfast topped with chopped grapes, banana and a handful of raspberries. Milk was measured in my new measuring cups (fab to have!!) and taken from my HeA allowance.
Lunch today is Tomato, Basil and roasted pepper soup with some cheese! Cant wait, i loooove soup!!!!!! x

I do feel i need this bag in my life, i really do. I honestly don't think i can live without it!

I love all the pauls boutique bags and have one, but it is nothing like this. I have a right thing for peony print (as you can tell with my background!!) The bags are such good quality and the leather feels so lovely. Beautiful!!!!!!!
