shes alive!!!!!!!

guess who's back?! ive had a super long break from blogging but now i feel ready to do it again. Back onto the diet to try and get to my winter goal of a 15lb loss!!

so whats changed? well my daughter has started preschool three times a week and she also does ballet once a week which means im walking aroung 16miles a week just from taking her places!!! its enough for me at the moment, i will probs start a bettrr exercise routine in the new year!!!

anyway, my weigh day will be tuesday mornings and i will be mostly following slimming world but also keeping an eye on my calories!!

long time no post!!

Hello everyone! I can't believe it has been a month since i last posted...I'm so rubbish! Firstly I have no laptop anymore as Immy fell on it! My phone is ok at the internet but isn't great!! I can just about Facebook on it lol. I have been poorly again!!! Tonsillitus this time and it was very nasty!! I haven't been dieting and have probably put on about 7lbs over easter!! Naughty me, do much for my 6 week challenge...I REALLY need to get back on track with slimming again...but as always I get distracted by take aways!!! I think I need to actually go to a group and stay for the image therepy!!! Hope you are all well, I will try and update more often but it is so difficult without a laptop :( Love and hugs to everyone!! Xxx

Week 3!

Hiya everyone....hope you are all well!!

I am on my 3rd cold of the year, so i'm on the echinacea to see if that does anything!!
In the space of a week i had a chest infection, was on antibiotics and had to be put on asthma steroids as i couldnt breath. I'm not going to lie, i was so scared!! I now have a new inhaler which is helping alot, but i have a feeling my chest infection is back :(

Apart from that i had a fab week last week. Spent the weekend at my mum and dads, had a wagamamas (YUM!!!) and went to the pub (had a lot of wine, whoops)

Weighed myself this morning and have lost........3lbs!!!!!!!!! So that takes my total weight loss to 7lbs in 2 weeks!! Im very impressed i have to say as i havent REALLY been trying my best.

so happy though :D xx

Week 2

So, Monday was my weigh in day, and i was suprised to see i had lost 4lbs...great start!!

But yesterday i went a big off track and ended up having a naughty something but it ok!!! coz im back on track today!!!

I think i need to start doing a weekly shop rather than a massive one. It seems like a better idea as im not buying so much fruit or fresh stuff that goes off quickly and needs to be eaten within a certain time. If i just bought say, 7 yogurts instead of 12, 1 bunch of bananas instead of 2! etc etc it sounds alot better than letting it go mouldy then having to chuck it away and having no fruit left, which then leads me to go off course!!!

Just dropped the small person off at preschool so i now have a lovely hour and a bit left to myself. I do enjoy Wednesday afternoons haha ;) xx

Spicy carrot and lentil soup!

If you would like to know how i make my spicy carrot and lentil soup then see below! (Syn free)

You will need:

5 carrots, grated
1tbsp cumin
1tsp chilli powder
2 cups of red lentils
1 veg stock cube
boiling water

Add the cumin and chilli powder to a saucepan and heat lightly, add boiling water to the pan and add a stock cube (i do enough water to fill my pan 3/4 of the way up) Add the grated carrot and lentils and leave till it reaches a rolling boil, when its there turn down to a gentle simmer for 20 minutes. Whizz and serve! xx

6 week challenge!

Hello everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying this lovely sun were having at the moment!!

Ive decided to set myself a little challenge, called "the 6 week challenge!"
I am including this week in the challenge (so really i only have 5 weeks left) so it will be from the 20th Feb - 2nd April. My aim is to lose a stone (15lbs) So more or less 2.5lbs a week, which personally i think is doable! Now in the next couple of weeks i have a few meals out coming up, but ive decided i will "flexi syn" these nights and for the rest of the time be 100%, also i will do my exercise DVDs daily and try to go for walks with Imogen if the weather is nice.

So, who wants to join me?? ;) xx

Burgers ahoy!

MMMMMMmmmmm I've made burgers for dinner!! and spicy wedges...yum yum!

If you wanna know how i made them heres the ingredients, they're dead simple!!

500g Extra Lean Mince
1 small onion chopped into tiny chunks
1tsp paprika
a squirt of ketchup (2syns)

Basically just wack it all together in a bowl and mix mix mix! Then make into burgers, this made about 6 small ones but would easily make 4 big ones!

Im serving them with some homemade spicy wedges, salad and a wholemeal roll. Might have some cheese to!

It is VIRTUALLY syn free (id count 0.5syns for the ketchup in the mix)
